Elocution and singing competition organized at Mira Road

Mumbai, 06 August 2012: In preparation of the “Konkani Manyatha Divas”, St. Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association, Mira Road organized Elocution and Singing competition to the children of Konkani speaking people of Mira road, on Sunday 5 August, 2012 at Infant Jesus Hall, Mira Road.

Konkani singers Mr. Charles D’Cunha of Borivli, Mr.Ivan Sequeira of Bhayander and Sr. Meena of Holy Cross Sisters, Mira Road were the judges for the competition. 

 

 

 

Many enthusiastic children participated in both elocution and singing  competition.  The judges appreciated the competitors and gave the suggestions for improvement. 

Fr. Dominic Vaz, Spiritual director of the St. Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association, Mira Road, spoke on the occasion and said that next year more and more children should participate in such competition.  Prasann- Niddodi compeered the programme beautifully.
