Mangalore:DK Zilla Panchayat District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting held

Mangalore, 06 July 2012: The District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting of the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat was held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11 am at the Zilla Panchayat Meeting Hall  to review the Progress Report up to  May 2012.

 

The meeting was presided over by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District Officer, President of the Zilla Panchayat, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Engineer, Project Division, Mangalore.

 

 

The Progress Report on the following items was reviewd: Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Swarna Jayanti Grama Swarojgar Yojana, Total Sanitation Campaign, India Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Grama Sadak Yojana, etc.

Nalin Kumar Kateel inquired about the progress of these above programmes with the concerned authorities assisted by the District officials. The concerned officers narrated the progress of the work under  different schemes of which they were in charge. Kateel advised the officials and District Officers that  there is a need to speed up work in many of the projects.
