Mangalore: South Block Congress distributes free books and rain-wear to school children

Mangalore, 18 June 2012: The South Block Congress distributed free note-books, umbrellas and raincoats to needy students in its office on Sunday, June 17, 2012 in function held at 9 am.  The chief guests of the function were P.V. Mohan, member of All India Congress Committee, Nagendra, Block President and Ivan D’Souza, Karnataka State Congress General Secretary. The programme of distribution of free books and accessories to the needy students has been going on in this Block Congress office since last fifty years.

 

 

Speaking to the students, P.V. Mohan said that if the students become educated they can achieve success in their lives and the nation also would make progress. He also congratulated and felicitated those girls students from poor families for scoring good marks in their respective examinations.
