KPCC prez Parameshawar escapes unhurt in bee attack, 1 dies

Bangalore, 09 May 2012: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshawara escaped unhurt, while another person succumbed to sting injuries in a bee attack at Sanganhalli village in Tumkur district today.

 

A swarm of honeybees attacked some district officials near Kadari Narasimhan Temple while they were accompanying Parameshwara who was on a visit to the village, Tumkur Police Inspector Chandrashekar told PTI.

 

While Parameshwara managed to escape unhurt in the bee attack, Taluk Health Officer Mohandas’ driver Faiz succumbed to sting injuries, Chandrashekar said.

 

"Faiz died on the spot," he said.

 

Mohandas and two other government officials also suffered sting injuries and were undergoing treatment in a hospital, the police inspector said. However, their condition was not serious, he added.
