Udupi, 19 April 2012: This is a case of love, sex and betrayal. Girl Sameera Saidu from Kappalandimukku in Kochi, Kerala, was working in hotel in Dubai. Boy Adip Kumar Chikkayya Shetty a resident of Amparu Grama, Kundapura, Udupi district, he was also working in the same hotel in Dubai. They fell in love and also had sex. Now the girl is accusing that the boy has betrayed her and for that reason she has come to boy’s hometown Kundapura and have complained to the police.
Sameera Saidu Adip Shetty
In the beginning, though the police received the complaint, they did not agree to register the case (FIR), but as now Sameera came to the media, the Kundapura Police have registered FIR. As per Sameera, she was working as an waitress in Rami Guest Line hotel in Rigga, Dubai, since one year. Adip Shetty was working there as a cashier. They become known to each other which turned into love and also decided to get married.
But Sameera got transferred to Oman. Later on pursuance of Adip she resigned her job in Oman and came to Dubai on 17 February and joined another hotel. At that time for her to come to Dubai the visiting visa has been arranged by Adip and for this he had taken Dhirams 24,000 (about rupees 3 lakhs) from Sameera.
During this time, Adip forcefully had physical relationship with her in a apartment and she was 2 months pregnant and had a natural miscarriage. Besides he brought his colleagues from Kundapura Harish Shetty, Rajesh Shetty and Eshwara and asked her to cooperate with them. And when she refused, he beat her and insulted her by abusing her, thus showing his true colours. He was trying to use her to make money, says Sameera.
On March 3rd in a hotel Adip left her, taking her jewellery and purse and never returned. When she did not have money to pay the rent of the room, the hotel staff took her visa. Finally she gave her gold chain and released her visa. Adip who went from there has resigned his job and have come straight to India, she said.
I have given complaint on him to the Indian Embassy in Dubai. Besides that, to give complaint on him I left Dubai and came to India a week ago and have given complaint in Kundapura Police Station. But the police here say that, the incident has taken place in Dubai, hence they ask me to give the complaint there in Dubai itself. But since the accused is now here, the case has to be registered here and legal action has to be taken on him, she urges.
Also, as asked by Adip, through her mother in Kochi Sameera has sent Rs. 49,900 to Mr. Bijadi and Rs. 49,900 to Basava Kulal from Canara Bank account. Sameera herself has sent Rs. 77,000 to Adip’s elder brother Arunkumar Shetty and Rs. 25,00 to Adip and Rs. 13,000 to her sister in Oman, for which she produced the documents along with her complaint to the Police Station.

Why Mr. Sunil its not a true story. If you have undergone this stress you will come to know. Everyone knows the characters of the waitress but think that all are not same. So one day you will be in same situation so dont blame anyone and dont support anyone.

In reply to comments made by Sunil, Don t generalize your comments to all waitresses who are working in bars/hotels. I know some good ladies working in the hotel industry who are really working hard to make some money to take care of their families and not, repeat not, sell themselves. In this instance, the proof of girl sending so much money to the boys family is enough to know the character of the boy!! Hope the cops find out the truth and there is justice done.

It is really a very sad story and very shocking. How this got trapped in this situation is unbelievable. She should have known his intention in the first place when she sent so much of money and that too Dh.24000 for visit visa?? Where as it costs only one or two thousand... secondly she should not have left her second job in Oman. Now God only knows how she is going to recover her money and most importantly her prestige!!!
