UAE Exchange Presented Pranamam-Soorya Musical Concert

Abu Dhabi, 15 April 2012: U.A.E. Exchange a premium exchange center of U.A.E presented a Mega Musical Concert “ PRANAMAM “ in association with Soorya (A world renowned musical group)  at the auditorium of Abu Dhabi Indian School.  It was a tribute to Late Mohammed Rafi a legend singer of Indian Cinema. 

 

The concert began at 8pm with a various dances by artists, dancer especially flown from India.  The dancers and singers who participated in this mega show were:  Rajendra Gangani, Sonia & Bharathi (Kathak), Madhu-Sajeev (Samudranatanam), Dakshina Vidyanatan (Bharatnatyam) to the melodious singing by Ziaya Ul-Haq (Idea Star Singer) supported by Sheela Mani.  It was indeed a treat to watch these amazing artists performing various types of dances.  The singers also sang some of tbe best numbers of Mohammed Rafi and the most famous among them was: Dunayake Rakhwale was a super hit.

 

 

The concert was attended and enjoyed by large audience including a few prominent personalities in U.A.E. namely: Mr. Salim Moumood Salim Al Hinai – The Chancellor and Deputy Head of Mission (Oman Embassy), Ms. Anuka Chakaravarty (Cultural Wing – Indian Embassy),  Sudhir Kumar Shetty, (COO-Global)- UAE Exchange,  Mr. V. Mathu (Advisor ADIS), Mr. Shekar Shetty (MD, Arab Udupi Group of Restaurants),  Mr. Michael D’Souza (Dune Hotel Apts) and many other dignitaries.

 

Ms. Seema Shetty, daughter of Dr. B.R. Shetty (MD NMC Group), felicitated all the artists and media personalities with mementos.  Mr. Soorya Krishnamoorthy, the director of Soorya was also felicitated during the program.  It was a very grand and memorable musical nite to be remembered for some time and fine tribute to Late Mohammed Rafi.
