Kalmady: Bishop pays Pastoral Visit to Stella Maris Church on Palm Sunday

Udupi, 02 April 2012: The Bishop of Mangalore, Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius P. D’Souza paid Pastoral Visit to Stella Maris Church, Kalmady on Palm Sunday, April 1, 2012. On his arrival to the church, the Bishop was received by the parish priest and the members of the Parish Pastoral Council.

 

The Bishop blessed the palms along with the priests of the church in the Shrine of Our Lady of Vailankani and the palm leaves were distributed to the parishioners who went in procession to the church.

 
The Bishop presided over the Eucharistic celebration. During the mass 12 candidates were administered the Sacrament of Confirmation.

 
Following the mass, the Bishop met members of various parish associations and was acquainted with the work that is being done by them in various fields.
