Kunjargiri: Seer Inaugurate Renovated Temple

Kunajarugiri, 27 March 2012: Kunjar’s Giridurge, presence of Parashurama Lord and Pajaka Kshethra Acharya Madhwa’s birth place, these three makes this as a sacred place. With the renovation of one old temple will grant the punya equivalent to the building of new 108 temples. The Lord in the temple should be worshiped by building the temple in a pure mind. When the mind and temple join the Lords blessings can be received, said Udupi Shree Shiroor Mutt’s Shree Laxmivaratheertha Swameeji.
He was speaking upon reinstallation of Lord Ganapathi and the compound in Kunjarugiri Shree Parashurama Temple, inauguration of the religious ceremony and presenting the asheervachana, in Kunjarugiri on Sunday. He said Archaka’s strength of meditation, dedication and installation the presence of Lord will increase.
Chief Guest of the program Udupi MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat said that the coastal area created by Parashurama is the safest place and has the maximum devotional centers in the world. Efforts will be made with the government to convert this place into a tourist place, he said. The program was presided over by Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon, who in his presidential address said that, from the MLA grant concrete road with the cost of rupees 9 lakh is constructed and for the renovation work already rupees 15 lakhs have been given from the government and the Chief Minister has said that he will give more rupees 15 lakhs from his grant, he said.

Renovation committee President Dr. Krishnaraja Bhat welcomed the guests and the gathering. Elders Govinda Bhat, Shivarama Shetty Kurkalu, Krishna Shetty, Prakash Sherigar, Sudarshan Rao, Ganesh Kulal honoured the guests. Belle Madhwaraj Bhat conducted prayers. Teachers Sudhakar Shetty and Mohandas Shetty compeered the program. Kunjarugiri Temple Archaka Gopalakrishna Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
