Moodbidri: Mangalore United lifts T-20 Trophy

Moodbidri, 19 March 2012: In the exhibition match held between the KPL T-20 teams on Saturday in Swaraj grounds Moodbidri, Mangalore United team defeated Belgam Panthers by 24 runs and lifted Moodbidri Eleven T-20 trophy. Batting first Mangalore United team scored 142 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the total Belgam Panthers played well initially, but could score only 112 at the end and lost to Mangalore United.

 

 

 

The match was inaugurated by Central corporate Minister M. Veerappa Moili. MLA K. Abhayachandra Jain presided over the inaugural program.

Chief guests present on the occasion were; coastal Development Authority President Nagaraja Shetty, Former Minister K. Amaranath Shetty, Jilla BJP Vice President K.P. Jagadish Adhikari, Purasabha President Ratnakara Devadiga, Tashildar K. Muralidhar, Western Institute of Technology Chairman Stephen Mendis, Mangalore United Team Owner Moideen Bava and D.K.A. President Dr. Shrikanth Rai.

Program Coordinator Ashwin J. Pereira and Ganesh Kamath welcomed the guests and the gathering.
