Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda visits Mount Rosary Church Kallianpura

Udupi,15 March 2012: State Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda visited the historically popular Mount Rosary Church in Kallianpura, Udupi on Thursday. In the Church which has a history of about 175 years, a new building will be constructed and the details of the same were given to the Chief Minister along with the appeal for the financial help from the government.
On this occasion Church Parish Priest Philip Mary Aranha, Kallianpura Grama Panchayath President Sunita S. Poojary, Appu Jattanna and Church Development Committee Members were present. Responding to the appeal the Chief Minister said that he will speak to the concerned government officers and will provide the financial assistance in the coming days, he said.
During the visit of the Chief Minister the local school students greeted and wishing him. Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat, Local MLA K. Raghupathi Bhat, BJP Udupi District President K. Udayakumar Shetty, Jnanavasantha Shetty, Chinnaya Murthy and other leaders were present on the occasion.
I too agree with Mr Benedict, Mr Philip. The church Authorites and the BJP CM cross the election code of conduct , can’t the church aurthorites wait another 3-4 days ? to invite him and give appeal for financial help ? after all we catholics people supported from decades for all church buildings and church schools whenever our priests are requested ,now all of sudden they need Govt help !!!
