Shirva: Religious Centers should be education centers – Shree

Shirva, 08 March 2012: Temples and Institutions are like the two eyes of the native place; these are the symbol of development, where everyone gets equal opportunity.  These are the centers which improves the religious culture, humanity and self-satisfaction. Self-satisfaction is the greatest wealth. Along with the renovation of temple, if the renovation of the mind also takes place, then it will be possible for the transformation of the society. Religious Centers should be life education centers, said Shree Kshethra Odiyoor Shree Gurudevananda Swameeji.


 
He was speaking in his asheervachana during the religious ceremony while he participated in the reinstallation of renovated Shree Vishnumurthy Temple in Shirva on Tuesday. Speaking further he said that, in Shirva there is presence of all Gods and Shree Vishnumurthy temple is prime one and he called upon to begin here the education of Indian cultural values for women and children along with the religious programs. As the role of home maker is crucial at home, similarly Archaka has an important role in the temple. Cultured Homemaker and Archaka can build a beautiful society, he said.

 

 


 
The persons who took prime roles in the renovation of the temple, sculptor Kuppuswamy Karkala, Narayana Acharya, Shridhara Bhat Belman, Husain Saheb Mudarangadi, Seethalxmi who secured 1st Rank in B Com exam, the donors and everyone who coordinated in the celebration were felicitated in the presence of Swameeji, by Renovation Committee President Nadibettu Nityananda Hegde and the guests.


 
Chief guest of the program Vedamurthy Kutyaru Kenja Shridhara Tantri, Shirva M.S.R.S. College Principal Dr. Sudhakara Marla, Entrepreneurs Bhoja A. Shetty Gangela Mumbai, Bhoja Shetty Prabhat Medical Mumbai, Mahesh Hegde Pune, Rama Devadiga Mumbai were present.


 
The program was presided over by Shirva M.S.R.S. College Retired Principal Prof. Y. Bhaskar Shetty. Secretary Mattar Ratnakara Hegde welcomed the guests and the gathering. Lecturer Anatha Muditaya and Babita Aras compeered the program. Vidyashree and Vishvitha conducted prayers. Sachidananda Hegde proposed vote of thanks. In the cultural programs ‘Avani’ Udupi conducted Folklore songs program and Vishnumurthy Bhajana Mandali conducted ‘Yenna Kathe Barepara’ Tulu comedy drama.
