FKCCI International Womens Day 2012: Dr. Gowri and Mrs. Sadhana Kini of Manipal are selected as Wome

Manipal, 06 March 2012: Each year around the world, International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. Thousands of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.

 

 

The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), which was founded by the late Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya in 1916, is the apex Chamber serving the cause of the industries, trade and service sectors.

 

Women Entrepreneurs Committee of FKCCI is entrusted with the task of taking forward the Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment of Women. Women Entrepreneurs Committee organizes International Womens Day every year on 8th March and recognizes the contributions of women entrepreneurs so society and they are honoured on this Day. This year, Mrs Daty Sadananda Gowda will be the Chief Guest and Smt Sarojini Bharadhwaja, Chairperson, Karnataka State Women Development Corporation will be the Guest Honour.

 

This year Dr Gowri, Vice President, Manipal Mahila Samaj & Ms Sadhana Kini President Platform of  Women Entrepreneurs and Ex- President of Manipal Mahila Samaj has been selected as Women Achievers of the year 2012 from Udupi District and will be honored on this occasion.

The function will start at 10.00 am at Hotel Lalit Ashok, High Grounds, Bangalore.
