Moodubelle: Edmer Hindu Aided School Celebrated Annual Day

Moodubelle, 20 December 2011: On the occasion of the decennial celebrations of the Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala (R) Edmire, Moodubelle, Hindu Aided Higher Primary School Edmer conducted its Annual Day celebrations on Friday, 16th December 2011 at the School’s new stage “K.K. Hebbar Vedike”. The program began in the morning at 9.00 am with prayers by the school students. Helen D’Souza unfurled the flag. Meera Lobo was the Chief Guest of the program. Curshida distributed sweets. Yuvaka Mandala conducted various sports competitions for the children.

 

The stage program was conducted in the evening which began at 6.00 pm which was inaugurated by Vivekananda Shetty – Headmaster of Edmer School. The program was presided over by Jecintha Aranha – President of Moodubelle Grama Panchayath. Ida Gibba D’Souza – Member of Jilla Panchayath was the Chief Guest. Other guests and dignitaries present
include  Dinakar Shetty Kurkal – District Aided School, Shivarama Salian – Member of Moodubelle Grama Panchayath, Mohandas Shetty Kapady – President of School Management Committee and Vikasa Shetty – Member of Moodubelle Grama Panchayath.

 

On this occasion, the felicitation program was held. Sri Vivekananda Shetty was felicitated by Jecintha Aranha. Bhaskar Shetty – Senior Teacher of Edmer School was felicitated by Ida Gibba D’Souza. Sandeep Shetty Manibettu – Popular Drama Artist was felicitated by Vikas Shetty, Boggu Parava – Popular Deity Dancer was felicitated by Shivaram Salyan. School children presented various dance programs.

 

 

In the night at 8.30 pm a Tulu mini comedy drama “Sathya Therinaga” was played by the school students. The drama was written by Dinakar Bhandary Kanajaar and directed by Bhaskar Shetty, Belanjale. At 9.30 pm in the night a Tulu mini social drama “Encha Aavatha” was played by the members of Jyothi Mahila Mandala Edmer. The drama was written by Panduranga Prabhu, Parkala and directed by Prabhakara Acharya, Edmire.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Vivekananda said that, these days the children are watching TV and they have become the slaves of TV and Mobile phones. In this circumstance the youths have conducted these social programs, which is good for the society. This gives good entertainment and also good knowledge. This has been a noble character the youths have adopted which is appreciable, he said.

 

Ida Gibba D’Souza in her speech said that, in the society there are many associations. Some of them shine and some of them carryout good work and some of them disappear. Many of the talented members in the associations have contributed a lot for the society through their various activities and we highly respect those talents for their contributions, she said.

 

The program was compeered by Dinakara Bhandary. Ganesha Nayak welcomed the guests and the gathering. Nagesh nayak proposed vote of thanks.
