Philanthropists donate uniforms/notebooks to students of Edmer School, Moodubelle

Udupi, 11 Jul 2016: Mahabaleshwara Hindu Aided Higher Primary School, Edmer, near here held the meeting of donors at their School hall, here on Saturday July 9 morning.
Rotary Club International (RCI) Perdoor president Chandra Naik presided the programme.
Moodubelle gram panchayat president Ranjani Hegde, gram panchayat members Shivaji Suvarna and Helen D’Souza, Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala – Edmer president Dinakar Bhandary, Belle Charitable Trust manager Ronald D’Souza, social activist Meera Lobo, the School correspondent Bhaskar Shetty, senior teacher Bhaskar Shetty, Mohini Kumari Badagumane Edmer, Devdas Prabhu Moodubelle, Uday Shetty Keerabettu, Umesh Mallibettu Ninjoor were present.
Raghunat Hegde Pune, Aron Daya Edmer, Shubhakar Shetty Mumbai, Valerian Alva of Belle Charitable Trust, Ajit Keerabettu Ninjoor contributed the salaries of honorary teachers as the state aided funds were insufficient to manage the school.
Subaschandra Hegde Pune donated notebooks to all students, while Palli entrepreneur Govind Jogi donated the belts to the students.
Moodubelle gram panchayat president Ranjani Hegde inaugurated the solar lights, drinking water facility and compost pit that was developed with the funds provided by panchayat.
The saplings were planted in the School courtyard in a drive to aforestation. Edmer Mohini Kumari Badagumane donated the school uniforms to the students.
The School headmaster Vivekanand Shetty welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Asha Nayak, Violet and Poornima assisted in the programme.
Lunch with sweet dishes was served to all students after the programme.
