Udupi: Free books, geometry boxes distributed to students of Edmer School

Udupi, 8 Jul 2014: The resident of Kattingeri village and Pune entrepreneur Subaschandra Hegde donated free books/writing materials, and local Yakshagana organizer Vittal Nayak donated geometry boxes were distributed to the students of Mahabaleshwar Hindu Aided Higher Primary School, Edmer, near here recently.
Vittal Nayak also offered one-day per week Yakshagana training classes to the interested students on the same occasion.
Belle – St Lawrence parish school headmaster Sylvester Mathias presided the programme.
Vittal Nayak Kattingeri, Helen D’Souza, retired teacher Edmer Girijabai, senior teacher Bhaskar Shetty, Subaschandra Hegde (Pune), the school governing council secretary Sitaram Shetty, Moodubelle entrepreneur Pundalika Nayak, Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala – Yedmer former president Umesh were present on the occasion.
The school headmaster Vivekanand Shetty compered the programme. The senior teacher Bhaskar Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
The sweets donated by Kiran tailor was distributed to the students.
