Udupi, 22 October 2011: Police who provide country’s internal security, sometimes have the attitude of seeing the people suspiciously. But this makes the people difficult to keep in good relationship with the Police. So the Police should give up such suspicious attitude with the people. Only with the friendly manner one can work effectively and from this even the people will also cooperate with the Police, said District Judge Narendra Kumar Gunaki.
He was speaking upon offering respect with flower bouquets to the Police memorial on Police martyr’s day at Chandu maidan Udupi, which is the centre of Udupi’s Reserve Armed Police. He said that the Police Martyrs have sacrificed their life for the protection of the law and order of our country. Remembering them is not just the Police department alone, but even the general public who are safe because of them should also remember them, he said.
District Police Officers and dignitaries offered respect to the Martyrs. Later District Armed Reserve Police Chief M.M. Yadavada led the firing of shots as a government salute. District Police Chief Officer Ram Nivas Sapat, Udupi Dy. SP Jayanth V. Shetty, B. Manmohan Rao and other Senior Police Officers were present on the occasion.
