Mangalore: The Investiture Ceremony of St. Agnes High School was held on 19th June at 1.30 p.m. The ceremony commenced with a march past by the members of the school parliament. This was followed by a meaningful prayer service, invoking blessings for the leaders as they stepped into their new roles. Kadhijah welcomed the guest and the hosts. As a gesture of appreciation and environmental consciousness, the Headmistress extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Professor Devi Prabha, by presenting her with potted plants.

The best part was the Oath-Taking Ceremony. The chief guest administered oath to the council of ministers. The cabinet members, including the Speaker Ritu Lobo, School Pupil Leader Prithviraj, assistant School Pupil Leader Kashish Kunder, and Ministers, took their oath of office. They promised to uphold the school’s values and to lead with integrity and dedication. The Opposition Leader Trisha and Members also took their oath, signifying a democratic setup where every voice matters and every role has value.

The leaders were then invested with their badges and sashes, by the chief guest Prof. Devi Prabha and the Headmistress Sr. Gloria A. C. A touching moment followed when the Alma Mater of the school handed over the school flag to the student leaders, along with a few words of inspiring advice, urging them to be torchbearers of the institution’s ideals and to lead by example.

The Chief Guest was then formally introduced by Yashmitha of class10, highlighting her remarkable achievements and contributions in the field of education and leadership.

In her address to the students, the Chief Guest used the acronym of the words WATCH and LEADERSHIP to explain the value of action, character, determination responsibility, honesty, and empathy. Her motivational speech inspired the student leaders to expand their vision of leadership beyond authority to service and accountability. The members of school parliament lit the candles through which they not only accepted the responsibility but also vowed to serve with commitment.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ruben Vakkayil. Tanisha Ullal gracefully compered the ceremony.
