Mumbai (RBI) March 15: The new office of the Kannadiga Artists’ Council Maharashtra was inaugurated here on Saturday morning at Victory House in Vakola, Santacruz East. Architect Ashok Purohit, in his capacity as priest, performed the Ganahoma and the inaugural puja.
Council President Dr. Surendra Kumar Hegde and his wife Vinodini Hegde, along with the office bearers, inaugurated the office by cutting the ribbon.
On this occasion, the inaugural program was held in the presence of Vice President Kamalaksha Saraf, Senior Advisors K. K. Shetty, Devalkunda Bhaskar Shetty, Gov. Secretary Chandrashekar Bhat, Joint Secretary Chandravathi Devadiga, Founder Secretary Ramesh Shivapura, Internal Auditor Jagadish Rai, Vasant Devadiga, N. Prithviraj Mundkur, Ashok Sasihitlu, Krishnaraj Shetty, Lakshman Kanchan, Women’s Division Working President Tara R Bangera, Juliet Pereira, Sushila Devadiga, and members of the committee subcommittees.

Since taking office as the president, the dream of having its own office for the council, along with the promotion of art and artists, and having a welfare fund for poor artists suffering from illness has come true today. It is easy for anyone to do anything for themselves, but it is not easy to serve society, for the poor. Surendrakumar Hegde said that such a work requires a great mind and devotion, which is enough to spend time and money.
The Parishad was able to have its own office not only because of all the committee members who always stood behind the big-hearted dream of the donors and worked diligently, but also because of the donors of Mumbai. Surendra Kumar Hegde expressed his gratitude to all those who directly and indirectly cooperated in setting up the new office.
The office bearers expressed their hope that the Kannadiga Artists’ Council of Maharashtra currently has a small office, and that in the future it will become a small auditorium, and that the council will eventually grow and have a larger auditorium in the country.
