"Rowing Into the Future- Into the Depths of Excellence- Honoring the Graduating Cohort of 2024-25"

Bangalore: On 31st January 2025, St Joseph’s School celebrated a momentous occasion with the valedictory ceremony for the graduating Class 10 & 12 students, encapsulated under the theme “Row Into the Deep.” This event was not merely a culmination of their academic endeavors, but the opening chapter to a world brimming with promise and potential.The ceremony began with a graceful procession, where the graduates, along with distinguished guests such as Chief Guest Mr. Christo Joseph, the Director of Strategy and Planning at Garden City University and a trustee of the Garden City Education Trust, Rector Rev. Fr. Joseph D’Souza, and Principal Rev. Fr. Rohan D’Almeida, and other dignitaries made their way to the stage. The lighting of the lamp and interfaith prayers created a reverent atmosphere, setting the tone for the evening.
Rev. Fr. Rohan D’Almeida’s welcome address highlighted the timeless values of commitment and perseverance through the story of a student monk. His words resonated deeply, urging the graduates to carry these virtues into the future.
The valedictory speeches by Moditha (Class 10) and Nidhesh Sharma (Class 12) were poignant and heartfelt. Both students expressed profound gratitude to the school, their teachers, and parents, reflecting on the enduring lessons and transformative experiences at St. Joseph.
In a touching moment, Vivette Rego, mother of Aashish (Class 12), shared the parents’ perspective. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to the school for nurturing responsible, compassionate individuals, urging the graduates to continue their journey with faith and toil as their guiding light.T
The ceremony also celebrated the outstanding achievements of the students with special awards in academics, leadership, and sports. The Chief Guest, Mr. Christo Joseph, along with the Rector, presented these accolades, applauding the graduates’ dedication and hard work.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Christo Joseph, a proud Josephite himself, in his speech, encouraged the students to embrace the unknown with unwavering courage. His message highlighted the profound importance of faith and perseverance when facing life’s challenges. Fr. Joseph D’Souza, the Rector, closed the event with a reminder of the leadership qualities honed through Jesuit education, encouraging the graduates to leave their mark on the world.
The students then took a collective pledge to uphold the values of St. Joseph as they embarked on new journeys. The presentation of class photos and mementoes, alongside a heartfelt farewell song by the choir, sealed the evening with a deep sense of pride and nostalgia, which was concluded with a silent procession, led by the dignitaries, as the
graduates symbolically stepped into the future, carrying the light of St. Joseph with them.
This farewell was a moving tribute to the graduates’ journey—celebrating their growth, their triumphs, and the boundless opportunities that lie ahead. Once a Josephite, always a Josephite.
