Sampada Udupi along with other organizations conducts Free Cancer Check up Camp at Belman

Udupi, 29 Jan 2025: A free cancer check up camp was organized at Belman Primary Health Centre jointly conducted by the Community Health Department of KMC Manipal, Primary Health Centre Belman, Jnanodaya Mahasangha-Belman, Sampada Udupi and Century Lions Club, Belman. 

 

Dr. Geetanjali, Dr. Akash and Dr. Chirag conducted the check-up. Fr. Frederick Mascarenhas-Parish Priest of Belman, Dr. Balakrishna Rao from Primary Health centre Belman, Mrs. Asha Devenda Shetty-Secretary of Century Lions Club, Mrs. Lydia Fernandes-President of Jnanodaya Mahasangha, Stanley Fernandes-Coordinator of Sampadda Udupi, Mrs. Jacintha D’Dsa and Mrs. Nancy Noronha-social workers and Mrs. Pushpalatha-Social worker of Community Medicine Department were present. 

56 persons including three men participated in the Free Cancer Check-up Camp.

 

Fr. Frederick Mascarenhas inaugurated the camp and said that everyone should take advantage of the camp and take proper care for good health. Stanely Fernandes in his message said that people should take advantage of government hospitals as they give better facilities than the private hospitals. Dr. Balakrishna Rao in his address said that modern medicines are available for uterus as well as breast cancers.
