Belleans in Dubai celebrate Annual Feast of their native Parish dedicated to St.Lawrence

Dubai, 13 Jan 2025: The Belle Parishioners residing in the UAE celebrated the annual Vodlem Festh in honor of their patron, St. Lawrence of Moodubelle, at the Cloud 9 Rooftop, Smana Hotel, Al Raffa, Dubai, on January 11, 2025.

 

The celebration commenced with a warm and vibrant welcome by the dynamic MC, Lavita Miranda, hailing from Gantalkatte. The event began with an uplifting prayer session led by Preema Dsouza, setting a spiritual tone for the evening.

 

Lloyd Lobo, the host of the event, officially welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of togetherness and the spirit of the gathering. The venue was filled with the cheerful presence of 112 attendees, who actively participated in the various activities organized throughout the evening. An engaging icebreaker line dance, led by MC Lavita, marked the start of the festivities.

 

MC Lavita kept the audience entertained with a series of games, including spot games, interactive group activities, and dedicated games for couples and children. A highlight of the evening was the spontaneous dance performances by young stars Rishal Almeida, Salvio Fernandes, and Sancia Martis, singing performance by Sandeep Dsouza, Lavina Dsouza, Veera Machado, Gloria Mathias which delighted the crowd. The much-anticipated Housie Housie session, conducted by Lloyd Lobo, added excitement and rewarded winners with attractive prizes. The formal portion of the event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a heartfelt vote of thanks.

 

 

The culinary arrangements by Smana Hotel and Restaurant were well-received, with a sumptuous spread of appetizers, refreshments, and dinner. The desserts, featuring Payasam and Jalebi, were especially appreciated by the attendees.

 

Following dinner, DJ Ash King, a renowned DJ based in Dubai, took center stage and captivated the audience with an electrifying mix of hits. The dance floor came alive as the crowd specially the kids embraced the music, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere to close the evening.

 

The event was flawlessly hosted by Lloyd Lobo and Veena Mathias, whose energy and coordination ensured the smooth execution of the program.
