Muslim Literature Award Presentation and Multilingual Poetry Festival on January 10

Mangalore: The 2023 State Level Muslim Literary Award and Multilingual Poetry Festival, presented by the Muslim Writers’ Association in memory of the late U. T. Farid for the best work by Muslim writers published in Kannada, will be held on January 10 at 6.30 pm at the Sahodaya Auditorium on the premises of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore .

 

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly U. T. Khader will present the award, while Dr. Mirza Bashir will receive the award for his work Abrakadabra ( story collection ). Lieutenant Bhavya Narasimha Murthy He will be the chief guest and will deliver a keynote address on the topic ’Hate Politics and the Future of Democracy’. Umar U. H. , President of the Muslim Writers’ Association, will preside.

The multilingual poets’ group includes poets Jalil Mukri , Shamima Kuttar, Bashir Ahmed Kinya , Akshata Raj Perla and Mau. Syed Ahmed Khaliq Nadvi. will participate, said Muslim Writers’ Association General Secretary B. A. Muhammad Ali in a press release .
