Rotary Clubs of Shirva, Padur and Shankerpura host District Conference on the Birth Centenary of Pan

Shirva : The Rotary Club of Shirva, RCC Padur, and Rotary Club Shankarpura hosted a Rotary District Conference recently at St. John’s Educational Institutional Hall to celebrate a remarkable milestone - the centenary birthday of late Pangal Vittal Shenoy. This special event was inaugurated by rotary Dist. Governor CA Dev Anand of Rotary District 3182.

 

Following the inaugural function, the event featured a series of three enlightening lectures:

 

1. Konadalli Prabhakar Shetty delivered a thought-provoking talk on "Sevo Hi Paramo Dharmah," exploring the significance of service as a paramount duty.

 

2. Bantakallu Ramakrishna Sharma shared valuable insights on "Yuva Janate Mattu Krishi Jeevana Shaili," discussing the importance of agriculture and sustainable living among youth.

 

3. Mahesh Shenoy presented an inspiring session on "Miracle Forest Challenge," highlighting the potential for transformative change through environmental initiatives.

 

Dr. Vittal Nayak skillfully anchored this lecture series, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for the audience.

 

The event continued with a vibrant cultural competition, showcasing local talent and creativity.

 

The keynote address speech was delivered by Dr. Devdas Rai, Past District Governor, setting the tone for the event.

 

The highlight of the celebration was the conferring of the prestigious Sadhana-Prerana Award upon retired teacher and artist Krishna Kumar Rao Mattu, in loving memory of Pangal Vittal Shenoy.

 

Pangal Jayram Shenoy, Elect District Governor Palaksh Hassan, DGN BM Bhat Bramhavar, Zonal Assistant Governor Anil D’Sa and RCC District Representative Prasad Acharya shared the stage, addressing the audience with their insightful talks.

The program was successfully hosted by Shirva Rotary Club, with President Amith Alwyn Aranha presiding over the event.The proceedings began with an initiator speech by RCC District Chairman Pundalik Marate, setting the tone for the conference. Conference Committee Chairman Dr. Vittal Nayak delivered the welcome speech, officially launching the event.

 

Dr. Arun Hegde skilfully emceed the program, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all attendees. Evan Jude D’Souza, Secretary of Shirva Rotary, extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants and organizers with a thoughtful vote of thanks, bringing the event to a close.
