Korean Dance Troupe Presents Grand ’Christmas Christotsava 2024’

Udupi: On the occasion of Christmas, the story of the birth of Jesus Christ was beautifully presented through dance by a Korean troupe at the Christian PU College grounds in Udupi on Saturday, 14 December 2924 evening.
A team of about 60 artists from Korea performed wonderfully with a unique sound and light combination at the “Christmas Kristotsava-2024” program in collaboration with the United Christian Forum of Udupi, Lombard Mission Hospital, Karnataka Yuvaka Sangha and the Coastal Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A group of 60 Korean and Bengaluru artists entertained the audience with a dance performance rich in Kannada language audio-recorded songs and music, accompanied by a sound and light show, depicting the story of the birth of Jesus.
The dignitaries present at the event inaugurated the “Christmas Celebration-2024” program by releasing balloons.
The Christmas hymn Silent Night was sung simultaneously by clergy from all Christian congregations in Konkani, Kannada, Tulu, Malayalam and English, enthralling the audience.
CSI Karnataka Southern Province President Rev.Hemachandra Kumar spoke and said that the real Christmas is to show how to live with humanity and God. Jesus set an example by living as a person with a humane work in the midst of the community. He said that the Christmas festival is helpful in encouraging everyone to continue the same work even today.
Udupi Diocese Bishop Most Rev.Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo said that Christ Jayanti is a festival of love and God has shown the true meaning of love by giving His only Son to this world. Jesus left his divinity and accepted humanity. May peace, love and humility be with us all, like Jesus Christ, he said.
