Sri Vishwakarma Mahotsav organized by Karnataka Vishwakarma Association

Mumbai, September 17: Vishwakarma was born talented and technically advanced. It is commendable that our youth are responding to globalization. So when our children are encouraged, the gifted will come out even more. The society becomes stronger only when the people of the community get strength. Ravish G. Acharya, President of Karnataka Vishwakarma Association, said that when we get the encouragement of the community members, we will be able to organize more and more.
The Karnataka Vishwakarma Association (R.) of Brihanmumbai organized the Sri Vishwakarma Mahotsav this time like every other year for a whole day, here on Monday in the hall of Sri Swami Narayan Mandir, Malad East. Ravish Acharya presided over the program and spoke.
The annual mahotsava started with religious programs in the morning, followed by Kalash Pratishapana in the morning, Bhajana mahotsava in the morning, food offering in the afternoon and Mahamangalarati at sunset. Brahmashree Purohi Sankarnath Acharya in his Vedic capacity performed Sri Vishwakarma Homa and blessed the devotees present. Srideva was enshrined and decorated in the grand deity mantapa designed by Ashok Kodyadka, and Reena Bhaskar Acharya was the master of the yajnas and pujadhis.
Gopalakrishna Acharya, Prasanna Acharya, Prashant Acharya, Chetan Acharya, Santosh Acharya and other priests assisted the worshippers.
The bhajan mahotsav was concluded with the participation of office bearers of Vishwakarma Association, Executive Committee, Women Section, Youth Section, Educational and Social Welfare Committee, Vishwakarma Mahila Balaga Dombivali, Sri Lalitamba Bhajan Board Borivali, Sri Vishwakarma Kalikamba Bhajanavrinda Goregaon. In the afternoon Padmanabha Sasihitlu headed by Kala Sourabha Mumbai Troupe presented a musical evening and cultural diversity by the members and children of the association.
In the evening a meeting program was held. President Ravish Acharya, Vice President Ganesh Kumar, Treasurer Baburaj M. Acharya, Women’s Section President Sujata G. Acharya, Youth Section Working President Sandesh J. Acharya, Ex-President Padur Janardana Acharya and Prafulla Acharya were present on the stage.
Sujata G. Acharya said that the encouragement of the members, young and old, is motivating to perform the puja with enthusiasm. This mahotsava marks the beginning of social bonding. In the future, children should be inculcated by doing such religious programs as a society. For that, Bhajan should be practiced first. He said that he will pray in Sri Vishwakarma that the children will get the fortune of serving their parents.
On this occasion, Honorary Secretaries of the Association Prasad Acharya and Sarath Kumar G. Acharya, Treasurer Ravindra IP Acharya, Education and Social Welfare Committee Working President Dr. K. Mohan, Special Invited Members KP Chandraiah Acharya, Suresha Acharya, Nitesh Acharya, Vitthala B. Acharya, Swaroop Acharya, Auditor Harish G. Acharya, Ex-Presidents Mahabala A. Acharya, Nitte Damodar Acharya, Sadananda N. Acharya, Senior Mutsaddhis like Krishna V. Acharya, Sundar Acharya, Sridhara V. Acharya and active member Arun P. Acharya and other dignitaries were present.
Ganesh Kumar gave introductory remarks. Ravish Acharya honored the guests by giving flowers. President and office bearers felicitated the talented children of the society and distributed prizes to the winners. Harish G. Acharya read out the list of meritorious persons. Prasad Acharya welcomed and presented the program. A large number of members, Vishwakarma brothers and sisters participated in the annual consecration program and praised Sri Vishwakarma, Sri Kalikamba and received theerthaprasad and received the grace of Srideva.
