Mumbai: Sri Krishna Leelotsava celebrated with glory at Pejavara Matha

Mumbai, Aug 27: The birth anniversary of Mukunda Sri Krishna was celebrated at the Mumbai branch (Madhva Bhavan) of Sri Pejavara Adhokshaja Matha in Santa Cruz East. The seventh annual Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great pomp on behalf of Vidyapeetha Pratishthan.
On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Udupi Sri Pejavara Mathadhisha Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha’s blessings and guidance from Sri Krishnaikya Yatikula Chakravarti Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji . Priest Raghavendra Bhat Undaru performed Alankara Pooja, Rangapooja and Mahapooja with flower decorations. On Monday midnight, the Mumbai chief scholar of Pejavara Matha, Dr. Ramdas Upadhyaya Renjala offered various poojas to Lord Krishna and performed Mahamangala Rati Arghya Pradhan.
On Tuesday evening, Dinesh Kotyan’s saxophone playing, bandu, chende, instruments, Ashok Kodyadka team’s tiger costumes and the cooperation of the staff of the monastery, Sri Krishna Litva, was thrown. Priest Suresh Bhat performed Sri Krishna’s Pallakki Utsav and Krishna Rathotsava at Prabhat Colony with Kuntadi Utsavamurthy.
Cute children in Krishna costumes performed at Sri Vishwesha Theertha Hall of the Matha. As part of the cultural programme, Sri Vidya Bhushana Group performed Ganasudha under the sponsorship of BR Hotel Group Managing Director BR Shetty Udupi Parivara.
On this occasion, the scholar Dr. Ramdas Upadhyaya, Vidwan Prakash Acharya Ramakunja, Vidwan Srihari Bhat, Niranjan J. Gogte on the stage, Suresh Bhat Kuntadi and Krishna dressed as cute children recommended.
On this occasion, Avinash Shastri, other office bearers and members of Sri Purnaprajna Vidyapeetha Pratishthan, Sri Krishna Vittala Pratishthan founder Vidwan Kairabettu Vishwanath Bhat, Pejavara Matha Mumbai’s Puvahi Anna Bhatri, Dra Samaga, Srinivasa Bhat Parel and others, devotees BR Shetty Udupi (Valakadu), Shekhar J. Salian, Devendra Bangera, Shekhar Sasihitlu and many other devotees were present and celebrated Janmashtami. The annual Sri Krishnashtami ended with religious and cultural programs by conducting Maha Pooja and Maha Mangalaarathi of Sri Krishna at night and distributing prasad to the devotees of Sri Krishna.
