Davanagere, 26 June 2024: Thawar Chand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka, visited the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Health, Harihar, on Tuesday, June 25 at 1 PM and received blessings from Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of the Diocese of Shimoga.

 

 

He was accompanied by Fr George K A, rector of the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Health, Harihar. This visit marked a historic moment for the Diocese of Shimoga. 

 

Children from Maria Nivas School welcomed him warmly with flowers. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ honored him with a shawl and garland.

 

The Governor had arrived earlier here to inaugurate St Aloysius International School and PU College at 12 PM.
