Dubai : MCBC Team won Easter Cup Cricket - 2010

Dubai, 07 March 2010: MCBC team won the EASTER CUP 2010 by defeating Bantwal Tigers in the final match of the Easter Cup tournaments held at Safah Cricket Ground on 5th March. There were thirteen teams who participated whole heartedly in the tournament. It was nice to see all South Canara Konkani youths present with Mr. Frank Fernades and Mr. Arun Mendis.

Mr. Deepak held the prayer seeking almighty’s blessings on the tournament. The following teams participated in the league matches. Eagles Shirva, Karaval Milan, Taccode Friends, Milagreans Kallianpur, MCBC, Bellevision, Udyavarites, Dublin Friends, Spark Cricketers, Hospet Challengers, Paladka Panthers, Al Quoz11, Bantwal Tigers. In the entire tournament beginning from league, quarter finals, and semi finals and in the final matches the outstanding performance recognised and honoured with man of the match awards respectively.

One should appreciate that the whole tournament was superbly conducted. The tournament had organised by Mr. Rajesh Alvares, Paul D’souza, and Wilson Dmello with the help of Taccode Friends.

The vote of thanks was evoked by Mr. Vinay Pinto where in he thanked all well wishers, media representatives, participating teams, and especially referees Mr. Basil, Mr. Preemas, Mr. Praveen, & Scorer Mr. Rakesh D’souza. He also thanked members of organising committee and finally spectators without their presence the tournament would not have been possible.

At the concluding ceremony the trophies were distributed to the winning teams by Mr. Raymond Ex- Basket Ball Coach of St. Aloysius College Mangalore. Mr. Lawrence D’souza and Mr. Rayan D’souza Al – Rein Metallic Constructions Sharjah U.A.E.
