M’lore: Jeppu Parish bags First Place in Inter-Parish Cricket Tourney, Cascia Runner Up

Mangalorer, 10 Nov 2013: The cricket team of Jeppu parish won the first place and cash award of Rs 55,555 in the finals of Mangalore diocesan Episcopal city deanery inter-parish cricket tournament held at Padua Pre-University College grounds, Nantoor, here on Sunday November 10.

 
 
Cascia parish was the runner up and bagged cash award of Rs 44,444.

 
 
Jeppu parish reached the finals by defeating Angelore parish, while Cascia parish reached the finals by defeating Bendore parish in the semi finals.

 

 
 
Jeppu parish player Arjun bagged the best bowler trophy.  Cascia parish player Deepak bagged the best batsman trophy.  Jeppu parish player Janjal was adjudged as man of the match, while Jeppu team player Ajay was the man of the series.

 
 
Fifteen parishes: Angelore, Bendore, Bejai, Bajal, Bondel, Cascia, Derebail, jeppu, Kelarai, Kuloor, Neermarga, Rosario, Tannirbavi and Vamanjoor competed in the tourney.
