Mount Rosary Church Kallianpur, Catholic Sabha re-elect Mrs. Rosy Quadros as President for 2023-24

Udupi/Kallianpur, 19 Feb 2023: Annual Elections of Catholic Sabah was held on Sunday, 19th February 2023, in the MRC Mini Hall at 9.15 am.
Catholic Sabah Mount Rosary Church, always counted among few vibrant and active Units both in the Kallianpur Deanery and Udupi Diocese with 930 plus life members, which had the credit of giving leadership at all levels, initiating, materialising socially significant projects and hosting various Unit, Deanery and Diocesan level programmes in the parish.
After prayers and invoking Almighty Lord’s blessings, President Rosy Quadros extended a warm welcome to all members especially election Officer Mr Urban Lewis Brahmmavar, Central Internal Auditor, and observer Mrs Irene Menezes, Kallianpur - appointed by the Deanery to conduct and oversee the smooth election process. She also thanked the members and all concerned for their whole hearted support and cooperation to her and her team for registering one more successful year in the history of Catholic Sabah in our parish.
President designate Mr. Archibald Furtado, gave a brief introduction of the Election Officer and Observer and the stage was set free to them for the elections.
Once the basic guidelines, the Executive Committee was constituted comprising 50 Members, the responsibilities and procedures explained to the Members present, the following were elected as Office bearers for the forthcoming period – April 2023 to March, 2024.
The following were declared elected unanimously:
1. President - Mrs. Rosy Quadrus
2. Immediate past President - Mrs. Jyothy F Lewis
3. President Designate - Mr. P. Archibald Furtado
4. Vice President - Mr. Reuben Rebello
5. General Secretary - Mr. George DSouza
6. Joint Secretary - Mrs. Pramila DSouza
7. Treasurer - Mrs. Tolbert DSouza
8. Asst. Treasurer - Mr. Margaret DSouza
9. Representative to ‘Amcho Sandhesh’ - Mrs. Clara Rego
10. Convener Political Affairs - Mr. Elias DSouza
11. Coordinator for Govt. Facilities - Mrs. Maria Wilma Rego
12. Internal Auditor - Mrs Mavis Cornelio
Other Volunteers – Mr Peter Lewis / Mrs. Asha DSouza / Mr William D’Souza / Mr. Richard DSouza / Mr Victor DSouza.
In the beginning breakfast was arranged for all and to conclude the meeting Secretary Mr. George DSouza proposed vote of thanks to all the Members present, especially Election Officers and past and present Deanery, Diocesan and Central level office bearers and congratulated the newly elected President and her team and wished all the very best in their forthcoming tenure.
