Karkaka, 06 March 2010: The annual Nemotsava of the famous ancient Sri Kodamanitthyaya Brahma Baidarkala Garadi at nacre near Karkala was celebrated in grandeur on 27th and 28th February 2010. The traditionally honoured family deities such as Rajan Daiva Kodamanitthyaya, Kukkinanthaya and others are associated with the original Brahma Baidarkala Garadi.
The Nemotsava began with the ‘bhandara’ ceremoniously brought to the Sri Kshetra from the Nakre Dadibettugutthu House. Vedamurthi Shri Ravi Kumar Tantri Hendal performed the ceremonies as per the Vedic rituals. The Nema Seve was performed in the name of Dhramarasu, Kodamanitthaya-Kukkinanthaya, Baidarkala, Mahisandhaya, and Dhoomavati-Banta daivas.
