Mangaluru: Kinnigoli church parish priest Fr Mathew Patrick Vas passes away

Mangaluru, 22 Oct 2021: Fr Mathew Patrick Vas, parish priest of Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli, passed away in the wee hours of Friday October 22. He was 62.
It is gathered that he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
Born in Siddkatte to John and Lucy Vas, Fr Vas was ordained to priesthood on April 30, 1987.
He had served as an assistant parish priest in Kinnigoli and Kulshekar parishes, assistant director and director of the CCC, and as parish priest in Bela, Udupi, and Angelore parishes before taking charge at Kinnigoli church in 2018.
The funeral Mass and burial rites of the late priest will be held on Saturday October 23 at 10.00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli.
