Mangaluru: Voice of Blood Donors & Al-Ameen Charitable Trust organizes mega blood camp; collects 242

Mangaluru, 25 Jul 2021: The Voice of Blood donors® and Al-Ameen Charitable Trust® jointly organized a mega blood camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru at Ghousia masjid, Faisal Nagar, here on Sunday, July 25 from 9.00m to 2.00pm.

 

Khatib Dawood Hakim Hanifi, Ghousia Juma masjid, Faisalnagar held the dua to begin the pragramme. Al-Ameen Charitable Trust founder president Twalahat Tangal Faisal Nagar inaugurated the programme.

 

Karnataka youth Congress leader Mitun Rai; Abdul Rauf, chairman of Badriya Juma masjid, Bajal; former mayor K E Ashraf, local BJP leader Vijay Kumar Shetty, Hanif Khan Kodaje, entrepreneurs Harish Shetty and Jabbar Maripalla, Mohammed Rafiq, chairman of Ghousia masjid, Faisal Nagar, Bajal 53rd municipal ward corporator Ashraf, Beary Sahitya Academy member Hussein Katipalla, SDPI Karnataka general secretary Jaleel Krishnapura and social activist Sunil Kumar were the dignitaries present at the dais.

 

 

Free facemasks were also distributed to the people who attended the event.

 

Voice of Blood Donors and Al-Ameen Charitable Trust jointly created history by collecting 242 units of blood during the mega camp.

 

Voice of Blood Donors is a city-based social welfare organization established by enterprising youth Abdul Rauf Bunder that organizes blood camps throughout the year, heps the needy to foot their hospital bills, distributes ration-kits during holy month of Ramadhan and other pro-people activities such as distributing clothes to destitute. Its several hundred dedicated volunteers donate blood regularly. Indian Red Cross Society has issued special recognition for Voice of Blood Donors for their dependable volunteers who can be moved for a cause at a short notice. KMC and other private hospitals in the city call them in case of emergency need for blood in critical cases. Its has become a pioneer in blood donation serving people in distress in DK district.
