ITF Manipal Open Tennis Tournament – 2011: Doubles Winners

Manipal, 28 May 2011: The top seeded Rohan Gajjar and Vitali Reshentinkov  lifted the doubles title in the Corporaiton Bank-ITF Manipal open tennis championship at the MARENA sports complex courts here on Friday. The Indo-Russian pair, who  combined perfectly, simply outclassed their  second seeded rivals,  Vivek Shokeen  and Vijayant Malik 6-1,6-2 in 61 minutes in the final. Gajjar, with this win is in line for a doubkle crown on Friday as he had earlier made the singles final as well.

 

 

Gajjar and Reshetnikov  received a winners purse of Rs.14077  each while Vivek |Shokeen and Vijayant Mailk  claimed Rs. 7373 each as prize  money. Manipal University’s Pro Chancellor, Dr.H.S. Ballal and Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Ram Narayan, presided and gave away the prizes. Mr. Sunil Yajaman, CEO of Zygosports and the tournament director welcomed.
