Udupi: Free Note Books Distributed to Students

Udupi, 27 May 2011: G. Shankar Family Trust, established by popular social worker and first grade Contractor Dr. G. Shankar, distributed free note books to 5,000 talented students in Shyamili Auditorium, Udupi and Mogaveera Auditorium, Kundapura, on Thursday.
In the distribution ceremony held at Udupi in the morning, Taranga Magazine Editor Sandhya S. Pai inaugurated the function. Dr. G. Shankar presided over this function. Mogaveera Yuva Sangatana President Sathish Nayak Padukere was also present. During this occasion two achiever students were felicitated.
In the distribution ceremony held at Kundapura in the after noon, Dr. G. Shankar inaugurated the program. Mogaveera Yuva Sangatane President Sathish M. Nayak presided over the function. G. Shankar has been serving the community by distributing the note books since 8 years. In last year also he distributed books to 5,000 students. Also he distributes scholarship to hundreds of students.
G. Shankar Family Trust in coordination with Manipal University, has arranged and distributed medical cards to 7,000 people to avail medical services in concessional rates in K.M.C. This Trust in coordination with Jilla Mogaveera Yuva Sangatane had organized blood donation camp in the last two years and in total 2,600 unit blood has been collected and given to K.M.C. Manipal.
