Udupi: MGM College student Sherlyn D’Almeida bags 2nd place in state elocution competition

Udupi, 06 Dec: The district Nehru Yuva Kendra organized district and state level English elocution competition on the topic Patriotism and Nation Building, to observe Constitution Day on December 5.

 

 

Sherlyn D’Almeida who bagged first place in district level elocution competition represented Udupi district in state level competition held at MSME Development Institute Bengaluru on Sunday, December 2 won the second place. She is studying II B Com at MGM College, here.  She bagged cash award of Rs 10,000 and certificate. She has brought laurels to the college and the district.

 

Sherlyn is the daughter of Ivan and Samanta D’Almeida, resident of Moodubelle. Ivan D’Almeida is the present President of the Lions Club, Moodubelle and Sherlyn is the President of the Leo Club. 

 

Sherlyn is active NSS unit of the College, stated the media release issued by district youth co-ordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Udupi.
