Mangaluru: Konkani Natak Sabha holds Dance competition

Mangaluru, 19 Sep 2018: Konkani Natak Sabha® organized 18th Inter-Parish Dance competition at Don Bosco Hall, here on Sunday, September 16.

 

The competition was held in 3 categories - below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in ladies duet, gents’ duet, mixed group and married couple.

 

Seventy-seven participants in 27 entries from 8 parishes took part in the competition.

 

 

In the below -15 year’s category, Cordel parish bagged the first place, while Angelore parish stood second and Cascia third place.

 

In the above -15 years category, Angelore bagged the first place, Cordel Parish second and Cascia third place.

 

The jury comprised Elton Mascarenhas, Shanthi Priya Lasrado and Dikson Machado.

 

KNS vice president Sunil Menezes welcomed the gathering and announced the results. Joint secretary Jossy Thedore introduced the jury. General secretary Judith D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme. Convenor Gretta Rebello among others were present.
