Sharjah: United Cup-2016, Ace Spikers won Volleyball, Bunts Dubai won Throw ball tourney

Sharjah, 04 Dec 2016: Ace Spikers won volleyball tourney and Bunts Dubai won both men’s and women’s throw ball tourney at United Cup – 2016 that was organized by Events 306 and sponsored by Acme Building Materials LLC, Dubai  on Friday, December 2. New Mark - B team won Kabaddi tournament and Coastal Friends won mix throw ball tournament.

 

Several stronger teams competed in the tournament that was held at Skyline University College campus, here on Friday.

 

Acme Building Materials LLC managing director and renowned singer Harish Serigar, Fortune Group of Hotels managing director Praveen Shetty, Gerald Lobo, Sebastian Pais, Flavia Joseph Mathias inaugurated the tournaments by releasing the doves on the occasion.

 

 

The dignitaries including Premnat Shetty, Gerald Lobo and Joseph Mathias presented the trophies during the valedictory function, here on Friday evening.  The organizer of the tournament Vinod Shetty was commended for his meticulous planning.

 

Ace Spikers defeated Reckon Strikers to bag men’s volleyball tourney. Bunts Dubai defeated Coastal Friends to win both men’s throw ball tourney, and women wing of Bunts Dubai defeated Mangalore Konkans to win women’s throw ball tourney. Coastal Friends defeated Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha to win mix throw ball tourney.  New Mark – B defeated New Mark – A to win Kabaddi tourney.

 

Results

 

Razi of Ace Spikers was adjudged Best Attacker, Sajan Alva of Ace Spikers was adjudged Best Setter and Sunil Chekke of Reckon Strikers were adjudged Best All Rounder in volleyball section.

 

Alan of Coastal Friends adjudged Best Attacker in men’s throw ball tourney, Dhinraj Shetty of Bunts Dubai adjudged Best Defender and Kiran Shetty of Bunts Dubai adjudged Best All Rounder.

 

Reshma of Mangalore Konkans adjudged Best Attacker in women’s throw ball tourney, Swarna Sathish Shetty of Bunts Dubai adjudged Best Defender and Akshata Shetty of Bunts Dubai adjudged Best All rounder.

 

Lionel of Coastal Friends adjudged Best Attacker in mixed throw ball tourney, Flavia of Coastal Friends adjudged Best Defender and Sumangala of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha adjudged Best All Rounder.

 

Razi was adjudged All Rounder in Kabaddi tourney.
