Udupi, 11 March 2011: The three-day State-level inter-collegiate cultural fest titled “Anandotsava 2011” organised by NMAM Institute of Technology as part of its silver jubilee celebrations, got off to a colourful start at Nitte in Udupi district on Thursday. Nearly 800 students from 30 colleges from different parts of the State are participating in the fest.
Inaugurating the fest, Dean, Melaka-Manipal Medical College Ullas Kamath emphasised on Indian culture and said that, it is a “living reality and the more we try to go away from it, the more we are enslaved by it”.
Cultural fests such as “Anandotasava” exposed the youth to the beauty, richness and grandeur of Indian culture. They gave them a glimpse of the vastness and variety of the country’s culture. Prof. Kamath urged the youth to follow ethical values in their professions and lives.
