Jnanaganga PU College, Moodubelle, celebrates Annual Day

Udupi, 28 Nov 2015: Jnanaganga PU College, Moodubelle, near here celebrated their annual day on Thursday November 26.

 

Udupi Government PU College principal Ramesh, Udupi Photographers’ Association president Janardhan Kodavoor, Jnanaganga PU College former president Suresh Shetty, president Umesh Nayak, governing council members were present at the dais.

 

The guests hoisted the College flag and gave away prizes to the winners of different competitions.

 

Guests for the afternoon session were Palaniswamy, regional manager of Syndicate Bank, V G Shetty, managing director of Ideal Medical Supplies, Udupi, Sridhar Shenava, chairman of Bharat Canning Company, Kaup along with Suresh Shetty and Umesh Nayak.

 

The guests inaugurated the photocopier, donated by Syndicate Bank and then took their places on the stage.

 

 

After a prayer, they were welcomed by Vibha, the student leader. The principal U L Bhat, read out the annual report, after which all the guests addressed the gathering. V G Shetty, emphasized the students about the need of Life Skills along with main stream education.

 

Shreeraksha Hebbar, alumnus of Jnanaganga PU College, was felicitated for having cleared her CA Inter Exam in the first attempt.

 

Jeevan, Poojashree, Sudarshan , Renuka, Sayyed, Viola, Bhavya for Kho- Kho, Yoga and Volley Ball were honoured too, for having reached State Level and District Level sports competitions.

 

Mohammed Raiz, student leader proposed the vote of thanks.  The programme was compered by Dhanya and Mayur.

 

This was followed by the cultural Programme by the students, compered by Sumanasa Bhat and Shrinidhi.
