Palli Adapadi Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple Renovated

Palli, Karkala, 05 February 2011: Adapadi Shri Umamaheshwara, Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Palli, Karkala Taluk, which is a famous Devine Pilgrimage in Udupi District is being renovated and the construction work of new Sanctuary and Theertha Mantapa are in the finishing stage. The reinstallation of ShriDevi, Ashtabhandha Brhmakumbashibheka Mahothsawa, Shathachandiyaga and Vaidhika, Dharmika anushtana will be conducted by Yati Shrimad Shivananda Sarasvathi Swami Maharaj of Shri Saunsthana Gowda Padacharya Shri Kaivalya Mutt, under his guidance from March 5th to 10th 2011.
With the voluntary donations from the devotees, all the develpement works, the daily Poojas, Annadana, yearly Vasthradana to students and many other programs are being conducted regularly. At this place there is no committee or sub committee. Also there is no practice of visiting any local and outside donors and collecting any funds. Only with the voluntary donations all these development works have been done.
This is a distinct Pilgrimage in Udupi District and has become a Devine place with the existence of Shiva, Ganapathi, Shrichamundi and Shribhadrakali. The development works are being done under the leadership of Shrikshethra Darmdarshi Pundalika Nayak.
