BSY alleges Moodabidri MLA of protecting Prashanth’s murderers

 

Udupi, 14 Oct 2015: Former chief minister and Member of Parliament B S Yeddyurappa has launched a direct attack on the Congress for protecting the murderers of Bajrang Dal activist Prashanth Poojary, who was hacked to death on Friday, October 9 in Moodabidri.

 

 

Speaking to reporters during his visit to Udupi on Wednesday, October 14 Yeddyurappa alleged that a Minister from Moodabidri has been obstructing the police from bringing to books the people behind Prashanth’s murder.

 

Calling Prashanth as an honest activist, Yeddyurappa said that he would be visiting the grieving family of Prashanth in Moodabidri.

 

BSY said that Prashanth had revealed identities of four persons who had attacked him. However, the police has failed to nab the four and it is now clear that the local MLA, who also holds ministerial berth is protecting them.

 

"The law and order situation has turned worse and there is anarchy in the state," BSY said. He further attacked the KFD for spreading communal hatred and unrest.

 

"The BJP government had clipped the wings of this organisation by banning it. But, the Congress government withdrew all the cases that stood against the members of the organisation, thus encouraging its activities," he said.
