Mangaluru: NCASP-2015 inaugurated at St Joseph Engg College, Vamanjoor

Mangaluru, 14 Aug 2015: The Inauguration of National Conference on Advances in Communication and Signal Processing, NCACSP-2015, organized by the department of electronics and communication engineering at St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) – Vamanjoor, here, was held at their Spoorthi conference hall in Academic Block III on Thursday August 13 at 9.30am.
 
Dr Srinivas Talabattula, Associate Professor, Electrical Communication Engineering, IISc – Bengaluru, was the chief guest of the occasion.
 
The function began with a prayer song by Jess Corda and group.
 
Dr Roshan Joy Martis, convener of NCACSP-2015 welcomed the gathering. He introduced the Dr Srinivas Talabattula to the audience.
 
Dr Savitha H M, head of department of electronics and communication engineering, briefed the gathering about the Conference. NCACSP-2015 is the third edition of the conference organized by the department.
 
Dr Srinivas Talabattula congratulated the management for organizing this Conference. He also spoke about the importance of attending various conferences in one’s professional growth and also was of the opinion that, conferences such as this, gave an insight to the technological developments across the world. He encouraged the students to attend more such conferences.

 

 Proceedings of the conference were then released by the dignitaries.
 
Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, guest of honor of the function, welcomed all the delegates to SJEC and also motivated the organizers to plan for an International Conference, in the years to come. He also spoke about Sir J C Bose and his contribution to the field of communication.
 
Fr Rohith D’Costa in his presidential address congratulated the department of ECE, for organizing the third National conference. He urged the faculty and the students to fruitfully utilize the conference and also told the students to have a dream and to work hard for its achievement.
