Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh mark beginning of Christmas Bash with Santa’s visit

Riyadh, 08 Dec 2014: The Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh (AKR) marked the beginning of advent season with a grand Christmas Bash combined with the felicitation of Pramila Rodrigues and the release of debut Konkani music album ‘Ashellon’  by Roshan Rodrigues the Voice of Arabia fame at Jaww Jerry Mary farm house on Friday December 5.
 
The function commenced with prayer led by Alfred Fernandes, Word of God was read by Pramila Rodrigues, Prayer of the Faithful were read by Mary D’Souza, Nita Vas, Vinitha Nazareth, Sunitha Menezes and Simon Fernandes. The beautiful Christmas message was put across by Marcel D’Cunha to the gathering.

 

 

AKR president Arun D’Souza welcomed the gathering and thanked to Anil and Flossy Albuqurque, Kevin and Muriel Nazareth, Alphons Lasrado, Allan and Carol D’Souza, Vincent Sequeira, Pramila and Richard Rodrigues and Roshan Rodrigues.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Arun said, ‘In GVOM, we proved that Saudi can do it and Pramila has done. Secondly, our Voice of Arabia fame Roshan’s dream comes true with his debut album ‘Ashellon’ in association with Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh. Ashellon is now super hit! The credit goes to entire team of Ashellon for their hard work. Special thanks to Gerald D’Souza (Jerry Mary) for providing such a beautiful place.
 
The program commenced with delicious lunch which was followed by the felicitation of Pramila Rodrigues, second runner up of GVOM 4 which was held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman on November 7. Muriel and Kevin Nazareth along with Arun D’Souza honored her with a shawl and a floral bouquet.
 
Pramila thanked Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh for her milestone event and for the support.
 
Arun D’Souza, Pramila Rodrigues along with Vincent Sequeira, Kevin and Muriell Nazareth, Allen and Carol D’Souza released Roshan Rodrigues debut Konkani music album ‘Ashellon’ on the same occasion. The music album is co-sponsored and promoted by Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh in its endeavour to promote Konkani music and talent.
 
Roshan Rodrigues was also felicitated by  Kevin and Muriel Nazareth and Arun D’Souza on being elected as the president of the Karnataka NRI Forum in Jeddah.
 
Roshan Rodrigues expressed his happiness while launching this music album and appreciated everyone who supported this great project, especially Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh, a social group who are working for Konkani culture and community who gave full support to producing this album. He also thanked musician Loy Valentine Saldanha and entire team of ‘Ashellon.’
 
Carol and Allen D’Souza along with the team were honored for winning ‘The Best Hygienic Stall’ award at the cooking competition organized by Karavali Welfare Association held in Riyadh on November 7.
 
Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh PRO Gerald D’Souza Mudarangady felicitated who bid farewell to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to settle in India.
 
Pramila Rodrigues mesmerized the gathering by singing her award winning number, ‘Tunch eklo puro maka,’ from GVOM finals. This was followed by Roshan Rodrigues who sang the title song ’Ashellon’ from his newly released album. Later, the duo enthralled the gathering by singing a number from Roshan’s album.
 
True to the spirit of Christmas Santa’s visit was indeed a surprise for everybody. The children ushered Santa into the venue singing Christmas carols. The joy of Christmas was clearly visible in everyone’s eyes. Santa cut the Christmas cake together with the children and doubled their joy and excitement. Delicious cake was served to all at the venue.
 
Roshan Lobo Bondel compered the whole event while  Carol D’Souza conducted the games and kept the gathering entertained and thrilled. Housie Housie was conducted by Marcel D’Cunha who pumped up the laughter quotient by his hilarious jokes in between the game. DJ by Jaison Cardoza.
