ISC INDIA FEST 2014 Concludes with cultural extravaganza

Abu Dhabi, Dec 08, 2014: The three day cultural extravaganza that attracted hundreds of people at the INDIA-FEST which was held at India Social and Cultural centre, concluded on December 6, with loads of special attractions from eminent artists, musical bands and dance performances. The day one (4th December), inaugural function which was held on December 4, with traditional dances namely: A unique Magic Show by World famous Magician Gopinath Muthukad and team including shadow play, street magic and stage magic, Abu Dhabi’s best Indian kids music band (winner of ISC Battle of Bands 2014) performance, UAE’s 1st Women-led Shinkari Melam team from Dubai, Musical performance by Indian musician and anchor Sherrin Varghese from the Indian music group “A band of boys”, Musical feast by ISC Music Club and various attractive dance performances including Kathak, cinematic and other Indian/ Arabic dance forms by leading artists and dance instructors across UAE. The inaugural function was attended by Shaikh Al Nahyan and many government officials, police officers, VVIPs and businessmen of Indian origin.

 

Day two too had loads of entertainment programmes which mesmerized the audience that included: Russian dancers with Russian folk dances, Famous music band Manakulam Band from India with their medley of songs, Abu Dhabi’s Indian kids music band (first runner up of ISC Battle of Bands 2014) performance, Art forms representing various states of India including Lazeem by Maharashra Mandal, Sambalpuri by Orissa State, Thiruvathira representing Kerala Community and Sauntal representing West Bengal.

 

 

Dance art form of Assam - Bhihu organized by the Cultural wing of Indian Embassy, lead by Bhawana Kakati Team mesmerized the crowd with their wonderful performance.

 

Guru Asha Nairs Disciples Dance by the winners of ISC Boogie Woogie competition gave power pack Indian Bollywood mix Folk.

 

Anchor Geeta Poduval Actress and a Motivational speaker mesmerized the audience with her beautiful voice and charming looks.

 

Musical performance by Indian musician and anchor Sherrin Varghese from the Indian music group “A band of boys”, Musical feast by ISC Music Club and various attractive dance performances by leading artists and dance instructors across UAE attracted a large of audience.

 

Day three i.e. 6th December was the concluding day and had the highest number of audience attending the supper shows and enthralled the spectators. The major attractions of the day were Musical entertainment with Indian play back singer Mohamed Aslam, Qawwali musical treat by ISC Music Club, Mesmerizing traditional Tanoura dance performance, Yakshagana presenting the Karnataka folklore, Dance by the winners of ISC Boogie Woogie competition, Various attractive dance performances by lead artists and dance instructors across UAE, Grand closing ceremony of ISC India Fest Season 5 concluded with multitude of raffles and prizes galore including Grand Prize – Peugeot 301 car. Daily raffle sponsored by Jairam Rai Binfardan Group.

 

Yakshagana presented by Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha Directed by Shekar Shettigar performed by Guruprasad Shetty and Shashi shetty, were honored by Sarvaootam Shetty on the occasion.

 

In addition, there were scores of stalls show casing, arts, textiles, jewellery, flower shops, business entities and exchanges centers. All these stalls were visited by large number of people and also there were food outlets, restaurants that served authentic Indian delicacies enjoyed by all the visitors to the grand INDIA-FEST 2014 ISC Abu Dhabi – Season 5
