Kuwait: KWAK to present Konkani Play, Maka Naangi..? to fundraise for charity

Kuwait, 10 Nov 2014: Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait (KWAK) will be organizing fifteenth anniversary celebration at Kuwait Medical Association Auditorium, Jabriya, here on Friday February 13 at 4.30pm. It will be held to fundraise for education of poor children.

KWAK had organized a variety of events that included kids champ, sporting tournaments, picnics, Monti Fest, parish feast celebrations since the past 14 years towards the cause of helping the poor children to succeed in studies.
 
 
KWAK will present Konkani comedy play, Maka Naangi..? by playwright Pradeep Barboza Paldka and directed by Edward D’Souza Kanazar, with the slogan One team…one dream.
 
 
 The drama will be staged by well-known artistes of Kuwait along with some new talent. The team includes Satish Saldanha-Kateel, Lucy Aranha-Gurpur, Edward D’Souza-Kanajar, Avil Fernandes-Nakre, Lionel Mascarenhas-Ajekar, Antony Miranda-Kanajar, Rajesh Fernandes-Udyavar, Austin Cardoza-Bola, Johnson D’Souza-Belman, Jane Norman D’Souza-Shirtady, Manoj-Farangipet, Wilson D’Souza-Mulky, Anil Britto-Kanajar, Clifford Aranha-Bejai.  The event will also include variety of live melodious songs and foot-tapping dances.

 

 
The Muhurat ceremony of the drama was held at Salmiya here on Thursday November 6. The event started with the prayer led by Edward D’Souza, followed by launching the script by KWAK president Antony Miranda, along with Committee members and the drama artistes.
 
Edward D’Souza conducted the oath-taking and compered the event.
 
Treasurer Steve Rodrigues urged all to join hand in hand to make this celebration a memorable one. The organizers urged one and all to participate in this celebration and support this worthy cause wholeheartedly.
 
The entire proceeds of this celebration will go to 2 institutions: Snehalaya - Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre at Talapady, Mangalore and Manasa - Rehabilitation Center at Pamboor, Udupi district.
