M’lore: AIE announces to resume direct flights on Kuwait sector from Oct 27

Mangalore, 19 Oct 2014: Air India Express (AIE) will resume the stalled direct flight between Kuwait and Mangalore with effect from Monday October 27. The new generation state-of-the-art aircraft B class 737-800 which are one of the most technologically advanced single isle aircraft in operation will be deployed on this route, stated the media release issued by AIE.
Mangalore – Kuwait flight will depart from Mangalore at 07.30am and will arrive at Kuwait via Bahrain at 11-15am. It will depart from Kuwait at 12.15pm and reach Mangalore at 19.25pm.
AIE announced inaugural offer of special fares and excess baggage rates till November 20 1014.
Although 20 kilograms is permitted as baggage allowance on this route, AIE will allow an additional 10 kilograms for KWD 5 on Kuwait-Mangalore sector; this facility is available during ticketing time. The passengers, who have not availed the same during ticketing time, can pay KWD 1 per kilograms up to 10 kilograms excess baggage, over and above 20 kilograms at the airport during check in time.
