Mangalore: Fr Muller’s death centenary observed

Mangalore, 02 November 2010: Fr. Augustus Muller’s death centenary is celebrated by the Father Mullers Charitable Institutions on Monday 01 November. City Commissioner of Police, Seemanth Kumar Singh, IPS was the Chief Guest. Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and also the Chairman of Father Mullers Charitable Institutions Dr Aloysius D’Souza presided over the function. On this occasion Fr. Muller Museum and newly built hi-tech laundry were inaugurated. Also the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new building for Nursing college was conducted.
"Fr. Muller’s Institutions have become popular among people with their quality service" said Plocie Commissioner Seemanth Kumar. He also said that the Christian Missionary Organizations are immensely contributing in the fields of education and medical service. In his presidential address Rev. Dr Aloysius D’Souza said that, with the special care on each and everyone and with dedication and love filled service, Fr. Muller’s Institutions have earned the success.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Deen of Medical College Dr. J. P. Alva, Head of Medical Science Dr. Sanjeev Rai, Administrator Fr. Richard Coelho, Administrator Fr. Denis D’Sa, Administrator of Homeopathy College Fr. Prakash D’Souza, Director Patric Rodrigues and Principal of Nursing College Jesitha.
