Mangalore: MLC Ivan DSouza pays visit to Konkani Sahitya Academy

Mangalore, Aug 11, 2014 : The newly-appointed MLC Ivan D’Souza paid a visit to Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy here on Friday August 8.

 

Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Roy Castelino congratulated MLC Ivan by presenting a bouquet.

 

 

Roy briefed MLC Ivan about the endeavours of the Academy and sought the latter’s support in administrative tasks. 

 

MLC Ivan lauded the stewardship of Roy to take the activities of Academy to a higher level.  He assured his assistance in the endeavours of Academy such as Chair in Konkani at Mangalore University, Konkani Bhavan etc.  He also said that he will speak in Konkani during the council’s coming meeting.

 

The corporators Pravinchandra Alva and Supreet Rai, Naveen Lobo, Academy member Lullus Cutinha, registrar Dr Devdas Pai, Shekar Gowda, Lawrence D’Souza, Varija Neerbail, K Devdas Pai were present on the occasion.
