Bantwala: 18,200 people involved in the human chain from Farangipet to Kabaka

Bantwala: On the direction of the state government, a human chain was formed from Farangipet to Mittur, Kabakad on Sunday as part of International Democracy Day celebrations in Bantwala taluk.
In the beginning, a national anthem was sung, followed by a message from the dignitaries, and the draft constitution was read. Then everyone held hands and built a chain.
Bantwal Municipal President B. Vasu Pujari Loretto gave a message in the program held under the BC Road flyover and said that it is the duty of all of us to protect democracy and get awareness about it. On this occasion, Buda President Baby Kunder and former minister B. Ramanatha Rai spoke on behalf of the public. Tehsildar of Bantwal d. Officials of various departments including Archana Bhat, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Sachin Kumar, Social Welfare Department Officer Jayashree were present.
On this occasion, local voluntary organizations, leaders of various organizations, government employees’ union, public organizations, teachers, students, Many people, including those engaged in public service activities, were present and participated in the human chain programme. Banners and placards were displayed. Around 18,200 people participated in the human chain, according to sources in the taluk office.
